Women’s Basketball Beats Dartmouth in WNIT Preseaon Match

The women’s basketball team continued their winning ways on Friday night as they hosted Dartmouth in a WNIT preseason game. Hartford won 62-15 as they get ready for their regular season game against St. Joseph’s on November 17th. Erica Beverly finished the game with a double-double as she scored 12 points and collected 10 rebounds. The Hawks took an early 5-0 lead and Dartmouth was not able to make a serious threat for the rest of the first half. Dartmouth made their first two baskets coming out of the half to cut the lead to just four, but Hartford took over and never looked back. MaryLynne Schaefer also scored 12 points for the Hawks as she made four shots from long distance. Ikea Witt had a game-high 14 points in the win. Hartford plays another WNIT preseason game on Sunday as they travel Indiana to play Purdue.
