Mens Basketball Season Comes to an End

The University of Hartford men’s basketball season came to an end on Saturday afternoon in an 81-62 loss to Vermont in the second round of the America East Tournament. The loss came one day after the Hawks beat Stony Brook 49-47 in the first round. Hartford finishes the season with an overall record of 13-18 as seniors Bo Taylor and Alex Zimnickas led Hartford with 23 and 13 points, respectively. Vermont shot 55 percent from the floor in the game and also out-rebounded Haryford, 47-23. Freshman Joe Zeglinski also scored in double-digits for Hartford as he finished with 12 points. Chris Holm led the Catamounts with 21 points while dishing out three assists.
Although Hartford will be losing Taylor and Zimnickas as the two graduate, the future looks bright as Hartford has plenty of young talent.
