Last school year, the University of Hartford had two high profile crimes occur on campus, both involving drugs. Public Safety was able to handle both situations well and had identified the parties involved in the incidents.

As a result of the campus having two drug related crimes occur, people have doubted the safety of school life. Public Safety would like to reassure that the safety of students and faculty is their number one priority. Public Safety’s staff are very experienced as many of them have background in police work.

Public Safety also wants to implement a new registering system, where students can register guests that visit the campus even if they do not own a vehicle.

There will also be a town hall meeting ,sponsored by Public Safety, held sometime in mid October where students can talk with Public Safety about what they want from them.
