Peer Health Leaders!

This training will be promoting and teaching students about topics such as nutrition, fitness, alcohol, drug prevention, and sexual health. If you become a Peer Health Educator you do not necessarily need to promote any of these topics, you can choose any topic you want or one that you are most interested in.

Lauren Fontanez, Grad Assistant for Health Education and Wellness Center, stated that this program will increase your leadership skills, presentation skills, and social skills. The training will help with a situation if a friend is having an incident with alcohol, you would be trained to identify those signs as well as provide them with the resources they need.

The whole training should last about a month and all be done online. One benefit of the online training is that you can do it whenever you have free time.
