International Street Food series

Things to know

Throughout the 2019-2020 school year,  the International Center will be hosting a series of events known as the “International Street Food Series”. Free food themed on a plethora of locations and cultures will be available on select days at “Hawklounge” in the GSU.

The first of these “street food” events took place on October 1st in commemoration of Hispanic Heritage Month. There were a variety of plantain based dishes served in addition to some churros.

Although Aramark provides some of the food for these events, a significant majority is catered by local restaurants that specialize in international food. This ensures authenticity and even serves as a preview for some unique locations that students can eat around campus.

The International Center is hoping that these events will provide students with the opportunity to learn about unique cultures, expand their palates, and even consider trying one of the many Study Abroad programs offered at the university. A full list of the events has been provided below.

All events are held 12:00-1:30pm in GSU Hawk Lounge.
