Free Flu Shots offered on Campus

How to Recieve Yours

Health Services is currently offering free flu shots to prepare the community for this upcoming flu season. These shots are available for all students at both Health Services ( Monday—Friday  8 a.m.-4:30p.m.), and a variety of Flu clinics that will appear throughout the coming weeks.

People are most often stricken with the flu in the cold months ranging from November to February, therefore Health Services recommends that everyone receive a flu shot as soon as possible. The earlier you are inoculated, the less likely you are to contract the flu.

Although health services offered flu shots last year, this semester is the first time that they will be offered completely free. Dr. Demetra Eleftheriou attributes this to Health Services’ new ownership under “Hartford HealthCare”. In addition to free flu shots, students should also expect lower prices for certain medications offered on campus as a result of this switch.
