The University of Hartford would like to continue the success stories for their students, so they bring in guess speakers to provide helpful tips to students when it comes to finding a job in the real world.

To continue this trend of bringing in speakers to help students they brought in local inventor and entrepreneur, Eric Knight. Eric Knight came to the University of Hartford on Tuesday Feb 16, and gave a lecture in Aurebach Hall to aspiring business students.

Eric Knight believes that starting a business today is much easier than it was back in his day. This is mainly due to all the resources we have available to use when it comes to starting a business.

He mentioned Kickstarter and Youtube and he also talked about what he considered "the bible" for those wanting to start a business and that's a book called The Lean Startup by Eric Reis. Knight stated that "this book says that the old way of doing business, making something and seeing if it works, is old news and doesn't work anymore."

Eric Knight, as mentioned earlier, is an inventor himself. He is the president of Remarkable Technologies inc, and he has even created an invention that has the potential to cure Alzheimer's disease.

His favorite invention is a wind resistant running shirt that he created, and has even starred on a television talk show to talk about it. With all these accomplishments you can be sure that Eric Knight is credible when it comes to inventing.
