It all started after Matthew LeBretton, New Balance's vice president of public affairs, said "The Obama administration turned a deaf ear to us and frankly, with President-elect Trump, we feel things are going to move in the right direction." Many people were infuriated.
Tweets were made to show their feelings towards the new statement.

New Balance is not the only company receiving hate for their input in politics. Grubhub president started a controversial argument after sending a company-wide email that was interpreted as meaning he wanted Trump-supporting employees to resign.
Many people still will wear the brands shoes but the company will see a significant drop in profits this upcoming year.
