April 14, 2006 Hartford Announces New Head Coach - The Hartford Hawks announced today that Dan Liebovitz will take over as head coach of the men's team at a press conference. The announcement was made by athletic director Pat Meiser-McKnett. Dan takes over for Larry Harrison who resigned March 15th after 6 years with the Hawks. Dan was a top assistant at Temple University under John Chaney. Liebovitz coached the final five games last season while Cheney was serving a self-imposed suspension. The University was praised by Chaney saying: "I am as proud of the University of Hartford as I am of him for making this choice."
