     Womens Season Ends With Loss to USC - The Hawks season came to and end with a big 81-40 loss to the University of South Carolina last week in the second round of the WNIT Tournament
     Mens Basketball Season Comes to an End - Hartford fell to Vermont 81-62 in the second round of the America East Tournament on Saturday afternoon. Boy Taylor led Hartford in his final game with 23 points.
     Men’s Basketball Drops Season Finale at Vermont - Hartford dropped the regular season finale, 90-73 against Vermont. Joe Zeglinski set a career-high with 24 points in the loss.
     Five Hawks Players Lead Hartford to Win over BU - Danielle Hood leads five Hartford players with double-digit points as Hawks win their 11th straight game against Binghamton, 73-66.
     Women’s Basketball Tops Albany - Hartford tops Albany 60-54 on Saturday afternoon to win their ninth game in a row. Diana Delva and Danielle Hood led the Hawks with 16 points each.
     Jeff Bagwell Retires from Houston Astros after 15 seasons - Call it a career. Former Hawks star Jeff Bagwell announced his retirement after fifteen seasons with the Houston Astros.

     Women’s Basketball Tops Ranked Brigham Young - Women's basketball tops 23rd ranked Brigham Young University 60-43. Ikea Witt eclipses the 1,000 point mark for her collegiate career.
     Women’s Basketball Bounces Back to Beat St. Joseph’s - The women's basketball team beat St. Joseph's 62-52 to improve their record to 2-1 overall on the year. Danielle Hood and Ikea Witt lead the Hawks with 15 points each, both game highs.
     Army Hands Men’s Basketball Third Straight Loss - Army beats Hawks 62-53. Hartford is 0-3 to start the season and plays their home opener against Dartmouth on Saturday, November 25th at 2 p.m.
     Women’s Soccer Drops First Round Match to Rutgers -
     Women’s Basketball Beats Dartmouth in WNIT Preseaon Match - Womens basketball wins WNIT preseason game against Dartmouth 62-47. Witt leads all scorers with 14 points. Hawks play Purdue on Sunday in another WNIT preseaon game.
     Men’s Baksetball Drops Season Opener to Georgetown - Mens basketball drops first game of 2006-07 season 69-59 against Georgetown. Zeglinski and Zimnicaks lead Hartford with 14 points. Hartford next plays Towson on Monday.
     Women’s Soccer Falls to Rutgers - Women's soccer team loses to Rutgers, 2-0 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Liz Cook makes seven saves in the game.
     Men’s Basketball Ranked Ninth in AE Poll - Mens basketball ranked ninth in 2006 preseason poll as Leibovitz era begins with game against Georgetown.
     Women’s Basketball Ranked 1st in AE Poll - Hartford women's team ranked first in AE preseason poll. Beverly and Hood lead hawks in trying to re-peat.

     Women’s Soccer Clinches America East Birth - Womens soccer team clinches a spot in the AE Championship with a 1-1 tie with Stony Brook on Sunday. Hartford closes out the regular season at home.
     Women’s Soccer Tops Maine - Women's soccer beats 23rd ranked Maine 1-0 in overtime. Cook records her third shutout of the season. Hawks have a 4 game winning streak.
     Adeleke Taken in CBA Draft - Former Hartford baseketball player Kenny Adeleke selected in the CBA draft last Tuesday.

     Hartford Announces New Head Coach - The Hartford Hawks announced today that Dan Liebovitz will take over as head coach of the men's team at a press conference. The announcement was made by athletic director Pat Meiser-McKnett. Dan takes over for Larry Harrison who resigned March 15th after 6 years with the Hawks. Dan was a top assistant at Temple University under John Chaney. Liebovitz coached the final five games last season while Cheney was serving a self-imposed suspension. The University was praised by Chaney saying: "I am as proud of the University of Hartford as I am of him for making this choice."
