Spring Fling is just a week away. STN talked to Joanna Melon, KAT General Manager, to find out what students have to look forward to. Method Man and the Ying Yang Twins will be performing as well as many bands on campus. Many organizations are sponsoring activities throughout the day. Alpha Sigma Phi will be hosting the sausage fest. There will be a car show and many inflatables. There will also be a live Comedy Central Tour show in Konover.
Registration will be held online this year. Students are able to register two guests each. If they register their guests by noon on Thursday the price will be 10 dollars. After that guests will have to pay 20 dollars to attend. It is important for students to meet their guests at the front of the school and take them directly to Konover to get a wristband. Public Safety will be monitoring the front entrance to the school. No one will be permitted on campus without having a student meet them at the front.
Wristbands will have a raffle number on them this year. Throughout the day numbers will be announced for free giveaways. You can pick up your wristbands in a tent between the sevens and Konover started at 3 pm on May fourth. May fifth wristbands can be picked up from 10 am to 11 pm and on May sixth they can be picked up between 10am – 6pm.
Students over 21 may consume alcohol in the village, but they must carry it in disposable cups, and they must carry id on them at all times. There will also be a food stand set up at Konover. You can purchase food at this spot. It features many restaurants in Hartford. This way students do not need to order food to be delivered they can just go to the stand.
