Littering on Campus
You may want to think twice the next time you consider throwing your candy wrapper on the Village Lawn. Students caught littering face the consequences of community service.
Students who are caught littering face the possibility of having to work with Facilities to clean up campus or other community service. Jason Borges, Associate Director for Apartment Living says "One thing we will be doing and w'ere working with Facilities to kind of get it up is that for some students that we catch directly littering the Village they will help with cleaning the Village during the early morning hours with the Facilities crew during that 7-0 hour.
There's very limited recycling on campus. In fact, the only recycling is in Gengras. The Village council has brought the issue of starting recycling programs up, and it is continuing to look into the possibilities.
