Hartford’s Haunted House

Another Halloween means another Haunted house on campus, in the basement of D complex. The theme for this year: the house of nightmares.

Adrea Wojcik, one of the RA’s of D Complex explained, “We have a scary kitchen, we might have some clowns, some spiders, general phobias that people have.”

The entrance to the Haunted house is in the back of D-Complex. Students will enter through the parking lot and go down creepy cement stairs to get into the haunted area.

“Everything is in the basement,” said Wojcik. “You walk through the hallway for a little bit and then it’s in a really big open multipurpose room and we built a structure within the room and theres another room attached to the multipurpose room.”

Freshman Sam Bailey said, “I thought it was pretty good. I was laughing a lot cause I thought it was really scary because my heart is racing still as we speak.”
Nikki Kalmus, also a freshman explained, “It was really fun, it was scary and the faces were really really ugly.”

The haunted house has been very successful in the past. 300-400 students came last year, and this year, the RA’s are setting a goal, hoping to draw 400-500 students.

“We’ve been working on it for a long time, since august, so it’s been in the works for a very very long time. So it’s going to be good,” said Wojcik.
