Pop Culture- Is the Mannequin Challenge the new Harlem Shake?
The Mannequin challenge is a new viral trend that is happening currently on social media. Never heard of it? That's ok because not many have either. The mannequin challenge is when a group of individuals band together to create a tableau so motionless it appears as though time is temporarily frozen. The videos that are posted also have the song _Text_Black Beatle from Rae Sremmurd in the background to accompany the immaculate "performance" people are doing.
Many organizations have gotten their hands on the new trend and have posted videos of them participating. The New York Giants football team took a video of them in the locker room. After the video was posted many other people started to copy what they were doing. Beyonce even did it!
How long will this trend last? Who will be the one to end it?
