ISIS leader al-Baghdadi believed to be killed in a US military raid

ISIS leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is believed to have been killed in a raid on Saturday conducted by the U.S military in Northwest Syria. Confirmation is still pending while DNA and biometric testing is being conducted. The raid was carried out by special operations and defense officials claimed that it appears Baghdadi detonated a suicide vest during the raid. 

On Saturday evening, White House officials were in preparation for an annoucement that was held in the Diplomatic Reception Room of the White House. Later that evening, Trump tweeted “something very big has just happened!” and he was scheduled to make the announcement on Sunday at 9 a.m.
