Lon Seidman started his college career at the University of Hartford in 1994, and his senior year he was president of SGA and weatherman at STN Channel 2 News.

He has always been passionate about television and video production, and after some experience at a news station, he landed on YouTube, where he now works full time reviewing tech products. Today his channel has 317,000 subscribers, with videos reaching more than 1 million views.

Seidman recognized the valuable lessons he learned from his extracurricular activities at the University of Hartford, in particular from STN, and he decided to start teaching a hands-on class about how to become a digital media influencer. His class allows students to follow their passions and share their niche interests, learning the rules of this growing profession.

Professor Seidman allows his students to practice their digital media skills in an environment where passion and curiosity are rewarded, just like it happens online.
