In the third quarter the Hawks would score two as Ashley Taylor and Kyra Benard drove the ball in the back of the goal. Ashley Taylor would score in the 37th minute off of an assist from Ava Lipson, while Benard scored on a pass from Taylor.
The fourth quarter started slowly as the hawks struggled to gain momentum, however it was the freshman Ava Lipson who scored the first ever goal in Hartford Hawks field hockey history who scored the third goal of the game giving her the first ever hat trick.
