The University of Hartford women’s baksetball team defeated 23rd ranked Bringham Young University 60-43 last Saturday as they saw their record imporve to 5-3 overall on the season. Senior Ikea Witt recorded 12 points in the game and eclipsed the 1,000 point mark for her collegiate career.
Lisa Etienne led the Hawks in scoring with 13 points and added five steals and three rebounds.
Hartford had a slim four point lead (29-25) going into the half, but broke out in the second half as they outscored BYU 31-18.
Hartford looks to keep the winning going when they travel to Queens, New York to face St. John’s on Monday at 7pm
