Lady Hawks back on top

The Hartford Hawks played strong to overcome and defeat their opponent Vermont to take the title of winning their second straight game. Sophomore Ruthanne Doherty played an outstanding game to lead the hawks in their 68-43 victory. She finished the game racking up 13 points to draw the lead of all Hawk scorers. Hartford opened up to score the first 10 points over their opponents which lead to Vermont missing multiple baskets and committing to turnovers early in the game. The Hawks knocked down the final six out of eight points to take the lead 28-21 at the half. Taylor Clark of Hartford finished the game with a career of nine points who contributed to three of those six points which put the Hawks up over Vermont. The Hartford Hawks continue their journey this Saturday when they take on Albany at the SEFCU Arena.
