Boasts many events for a wide range of fans

Last weekend NYC Comic Con was held at the Javits Center. The event went through Sunday and was reported to have a massive line as soon as the doors opened on Thursday. The four-day convention sold out within a couple days of it starting. The Javits center was packed with the fixings of Comic Con like art displays, character recreations, booths and shows. For the schedule it was open from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm aside from Sunday where it closed at 5:00. It was advertised that the event would have autograph booths featuring prominent figures from Marvel, “Lord of the Rings” and “Pirates of the Caribbean”. There were 650 exhibits scheduled at the event. Additionally, there was a cosplay contest Saturday night where attendees competed to have the most spectacular rendition of a popular character they dressed up as. Fans work for the whole year to create the best costumes they can and put them on display. It is estimated that NYC Comic Con makes about 80 million dollars a year in revenue for New York City. Comic con is a truly exciting event for many as well as having the ability to inspire future generations of fans.
