he MLB Season just ended and some crazy things happened this year that nobody saw coming. To start the season nobody expected there to not be a 100 win team this season, this is the first season since 2014 where the Angels had the best record in baseball.  

Now to move on to this years’ October baseball. 

 Wild Card Series

It will be the Tigers and Astros fighting it out on the American League side for a chance to take on the #2 seed Cleveland Guardians while the Royals who get their first playoff appearance since their 2015 World Series win over the Mets, take on the AL East runner up the Baltimore Orioles. They play for a chance at the #1 seeded New York Yankees.  

On the other side of the Bracket in the NL we have the Braves taking on the Padres for a chance to take on the #1 seed Los Angeles Dodgers. While on the other side we have the Mets taking on the Brewers for a chance to take down the Phillies.  

My predictions are a little surprising in some circumstances but make sense in others so you will have to be the judge of them. 

My first is that the Astros win against the Tigers in 3 and move on to take on the Cleveland Guardians. I then think the Orioles are going to defeat the Kansas City Royals in 5 to move on to take on the Yankees in a AL East matchup in the ALDS.  

On the other side of the bracket I think we have the Padres take down the Braves in 4 to take on the Dodgers in a NL West NLDS matchup. While the Brewers take down the Mets in 5 for a chance to take down the Phillies.  

 ALDS/NLDS

For the ALDS the matchup is now Guardians taking on the Astros, and the Yankees taking on the Orioles.  

I see the Houston Astros winning against the Cleveland Guardians but the Guardians do force 5 games. While on the other side the Orioles beat the Yankees in 4.  

For the NLDS the matchup is Padres taking on the Dodgers and the Brewers taking on the Phillies.  

I can see the Dodgers taking down the Padres in 4 games while on the other side the Phillies take down the Brewers in 5 games.  

 ALCS/NLCS

Now the NLCS matchup is Phillies against the Dodgers and in the ALCS the Orioles taking on the Astros.  

On the ALCS the Astros will win in 6 games with the Orioles bullpen struggling in late game situations. While in the NLCS the Dodgers will win in 7 against the Phillies with their star power of Mookie Betts and Shohei Ohtani.  

 WORLD SERIES

In the World Series we have another Astros Dodgers matchup which will be the second time the two teams meet in the World series. However neither team had been away from the World Series as the Astros have made the World Series four times since 2017, while the Dodgers have been in the World Series three times since 2017. With all this being said the Houston Astros will win the World Series over the Dodgers yet again in 7 games.
