The Softball team split the Sunday Doubleheader against Boston University, going 11-10 in the first game, then falling 11-1 in the second game. Brie Hout picked up the win in the first game for the Hawks, improving to 1-1 on the season. In addition to the win, she added three hits with four RBI’s. Junior Nicole McMillon picked up the save for the Hawks. Freshman Amanda Sais also had a strong game, going 4-4 with three RBI’s. The Hawks finished the first game with 14 hits. Senior Caitlin Eichler was the starter for the second game, lasting three and two-thirds innings allowing eight runs off seven hits. Senior Samantha Morrison had three out of the six hits managed by the Hawks. Sais scored the lone run with an RBI single. The game finished after 5 innings due to the eight-run mercy rule. The Hawks are now 7-11 overall and 2-4 in America East. Softball hosts Stony Brook on Wednesday in a doubleheader at 2:30pm.
