Softball Team Swept By Maine Saturday

The Hawks were swept by the Maine Blackbears on Saturday in a doubleheader. The Hawks lost both games 8-4 and 7-4. The Hawks fell to 13-16 overall and 5-8 in America East. Maine improved to 29-15 overall and 10-3 in conference. Samantha Morrison lead the Hawks in the first game going two for four at the plate with three RBI's. She tied the school record for most triples in a season at six. Starter Brie Hout took the loss, pitching five innings allowing five runs on twelve hits. Nicole McMillon started the second game going five innings allowing six runs on eleven hits. Amanda Sais lead the Hawks going three for four with one RBI and a run scored. Kristie Rochette and Kristen Cericola each had a hit in four appearances and three appearences, respectively, each added an RBI. The Hawks wrap the series with a game scheduled at noon today.
