The Hawks fell to the Vermont Catamounts on Sunday, in the rubber match of the weekend series at Vermont, going to extra innings in a 6-5 loss. The Hawks won the first game on Saturday, before falling in the second game of a doubleheader 8-0. The Hawks fall to 15-21 overall and 6-12 in the America East. Hawks starter Brie Hout took the loss, going seven and two thirds innings, allowing six runs on six hits and striking out three. Hout also went one for four at the plate with one RBI. Jackie Simonetty went one for two with one RBI and scoring a run. Nikki Thompson went two for three scoring one run. Kristie Rochette scored two runs of her own while going one for three. The Hawks next play at Central Connecticut on Wednesday in a doubleheader, starting at 3 pm.
