Located on Farmington Avenue, the Elbow Room is anything but your ordinary American joint. Open since 1997, the restaurant will celebrate its 10th birthday this December.

The Elbow Room has received an award for being the best American restaurant for both indoor and outdoor seating this year. It’s also been recognized for an outstanding wine selection for the third year running. With food ranging from their famous macaroni and cheese all the way to delicious steak and fish platters, it isn’t hard to see why people keep coming back for more.

THe fish aquarium in the lower dining room also comes highly recommended by the siblings. The dining room itself is available for parties and fits 50 people comfortably. The restaurant also features rooftop dining to college students (as the warm weather appraoches, of course.) That contains a full bar.
