The dedication of the Renee Samuels Center at the Hartford Art School will be held on Tuesday April 17th. A question and answer sessions starts at 11 am followed by a tour of the new facility.
“This is the first construction for the art school in 25 years and the Renee Samuels Center is addressing the prospects of digital technology and contemporary art,” says Hartford Art School dean Power Boothe, “so it’s going to be extraordinary space for us.”
The ceremony is free and there is no RSVP necessary to attend. The second installment of this celebration, a gala and art auction, will take place on Saturday April 21
