You may have noticed a familiar and friendly face was absent from the university this week. Georgette Bennett who worked at Einstein’s bagels left the university last Friday after thirteen years of service. Georgette started at the school in 1996 working part time catering events in the Bates House. After her children were grown she began to take on more hours at the university as she enjoyed meeting and interacting with students every day. She will continue in the service industry with her purchase of a nail salon in Southington. Georgette says her favorite time working at the university was at Montague’s deli, and she hopes the school might consider opening another location on campus sometime in the future.
