The brand new Creativity and Compassion Club has made its way to the University of Hartford.
The President of the club, junior Carly Cole, started the club in having a goal that the University of Hartford would be recognized as a “compassionate” university by the end of April.
“At this point, the goal is to spread compassion and get as many new club members as possible so that we can affirm the Charter for Compassion,” says Cole.
The club plans to hold many events around campus throughout the year that relate to the theme of compassion.
“I was really excited to help make this a compassionate university. There is not enough compassion in this university so we are doing something to change it,” says Hope Halper, head of publicity for the event.
The club meets every other Tuesday between 12:15 and 1:30 p.m. in Gengras 339.
