The Hartford Lady hawks picked up dominate victory over the Vermont Catamounts 64-51 on Wednesday night. Even being away did not matter for the Girls, who improve their record to 8-13 and 5-3 in the conference. Three plays had very good scoring performances off the bench, which included Junior Forward Cherelle Moore who finished with 14, Freshman guard Morgan Lumb who had 12, and finally Senior Forward Taylor Clark who had a season high 10 points, which even included a 100 percent shooting going three for three.
For the Catamounts they fall to a 6-15 overall record and only 3-5 in American East play. Although they suffered a tough lost, two players shined for Vermont in this game. Niki Taylor finished the game with 15 points and 8 rebounds and even 5 steals, Jordan Eisler finished with 14 points but struggled maintaining the ball finishing the game with 9 turnovers as well.
The Lady Hawks return to action this Saturday February 2nd to take on the Sea Wolves of Stony Brook at 2pm.
