The candidates for New York’s gubernatorial is incumbent Democrat Andrew Cuomo and Republican Rob Astorino. Cuomo originally won this position back in 2011 with 62% of the vote after facing Republican Carl Paladino.

This is Astorino’s first time running for this seat, but he has been Westchester County Executive since 2009.

However, according to all of the polls, Cuomo is going to run away with this race, holding an average 22 points ahead of Astorino. But Cuomo has been trending downward recently, despite that he still seems to be the clear winner.

Over in the Garden State, the two candidates for the Senate race in New Jersey are incumbent Democrat Cory Booker and Republican Jeff Bell.

Cory Booker was originally voted into Senate during a special election in 2013 that was held due to former senator Frank Lautenberg passing away, becoming the first black U.S. Senator from New Jersey. Prior to this, Booker was elected mayor of Newark in 2006 and remained in his seat until he became Senator.

For Jeff Bell, this is his third time running for Senate. Bell was elected as a delegate to former United States president Ronald Reagan to the Republican National Convention in 1980.

Nevertheless, it seems like Booker is going to take this win, as polls show Booker with an average 15 point lead.

The two main candidates for the House of Representatives in New Jersey’s District 1 are Democrat Donald Norcross and Republican Garry Cobb.

This election is a special one after previous representative Rob Andrews resigned from the position earlier this year.

Norcross previously represented the 5th District in the New Jersey Senate since 2010. Garry Cobb, on the other hand, is a former professional football player who has been an advocate for his New Jersey community.
