UHart Students Help People in Florida

In March, a group of University of Hartford students went to North Fort Myers, Florida for an alternative Spring break.

Junior Joshua Lopes always wanted to go on Spring break but complications came up his Freshman and Sophomore years. This year though he was finally able to go.

He thought that this trip would be a good opportunity to get his feet wet before he tries to study abroad which he has already started to fill out the paperwork for.

The group stayed in North Fort Myers, Florida, and took a bus each day to surrounding suburbs to build houses for people. During their free time, they were able to go to the beach and hang out and get tanned.

Students were taught how to build the houses, and Joshua would recommend the trip to future students very strongly.
