The open mic event was for students to read poetry, their own readings, a fiction story, or a real life story. Students who enjoyed doing this can join the Aerie journal and submit their work such as poems or artwork.

If students are interested in writing for the Aerie Journal they can submit any genre from fiction, love, diversity, or even political. You can submit these writings and stories on the aerie journal website at www.aeriejournal.com.

There is a limit of five submissions per contributor with a maximum of four thousand words. The maximum the Aerie journal can accept from each student is three submissions and for artwork it is four submissions.

The deadline for submissions is Friday October 13th but they will be accepting some late work as well. The deadline for artwork is November 31st.
