Amanda Duvall, freshman at the University of Hartford, is very interested in science fiction and suggested they make a club on campus for students who are also interested. In the club, they analyze books, articles, and movies and connect it back to our society.

One of the books they read during the first meeting that happened on October 31st was called The Crawlers. Amanda picked out this book but the stories picked out will usually be a group decision.

The meetings will be taking place in the English Department student lounge about twice a month. It is not required to read the books ahead of time that will be discussed, but it will be helpful. Otherwise, students and staff can just come and talk about their own experiences with science fiction.
