Race together is a new multicultural organization on campus, with the mission of bringing the student body together while providing informed conversation on race. They had their first meeting on Wednesday January 31st where they gave interested students an idea of their mission and future plans.

It was emphasized that they do not wish to have meetings or events where they give lectures on race. Instead they held that meeting to get an idea of what students would be interested in seeing in the future. It was also mentioned that they are not trying to replace any of the already established cultural organizations.

The organization is being sponsored by Hillyer college and the school of ENHP. The organization’s adviser Kenny Nienhusser is an ENHP professor who has a passion for inclusiveness.

Race Together also has a podcast, “A Seat at The Table” which premiered Tuesday, February 13th. The episodes are uploaded to their YouTube channel Race Together.
