A summer research program will run for three consecutive summers and was developed as a partnership between seven public and private institutions around the Great Hartford area will be available for science majors.
This would expose students who study biomedical science to hands on research in competitive laboratories. It will prepare them for future jobs in research settings and pharmaceutical companies.
The research will be based on each students field of study and each person will be matched with their own mentor and laboratory.
Some will be geared toward understanding in basic research, some will be geared toward creating a product like a drug or a device that can be used in biomedical science.
Freshmen, sophomore, junior and even Master students are encouraged to participate in this program and anyone who is related to biomedical science such as biology majors, chemistry majors, bioengineering students, health science students that are interested in hands on experience rather than the academic aspect of it can join as well.
There is a portal that students can easily find open to apply for this limited opportunity. Deadline to apply is March 11th but be on the look out because this date may soon change.
