The University of Hartford informed students yesterday about the postponement of Commencement 2020. The ceremony that was originally scheduled for May 15th has now been changed to December 15th due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It will be a combined ceremony with those who are eligible to graduate in December 2020. Commencement will be taking place at the XL Center in Downtown Hartford at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, December 15th. Students who are not able to attend will still be recognized during the ceremony as all of the eligible graduate names will be read, not just those who attend.
The University planned a separate doctoral hooding ceremony on May 15th to honor the doctoral candidates. This ceremony has been rescheduled to Sunday, December 6th at 10:30 p.m. in Lincoln Theater.
