The Helping Hand Food Pantry is open on Thursdays from 2 to 6:30 p.m for those facing food insecurity due to the recent pandemic. The pantry is located at 344 Blue Hills Avenue in Hartford. The food pantry has assembled pre-packaged food bags for anyone in need, including those in the University of Hartford Campus community.
If anyone has questions or would like to volunteer/ donate, people are asked to contact the food pantry’s Director Elsa Smith Pleasant between 9:30 a.m and 6:30p.m on Thursdays at 860-243-9787.
