Starting on May 20, Disney Springs at Walt Disney World will begin a phased reopening following the guidance of the government and health officials. A limited number of dining or shopping experiences that are owned by third-party participants will begin to open during the phase. There will be several operational changes such as enhanced safety measures, increased cleaning procedures, appropriate face coverings by guests and cast members, and limiting contact guest services. Disney is working on applying ideas from leaders in the health and travel industries as well as preparing for some cast members to return back to work.
During the phased reopening, Disney Springs will limit the capacity of guests, parking, and operating hours. The rest of Walt Disney World, including parks and resorts will remain closed and it is undetermined at this time when they will reopen.
