Apple has consistently updated its products year after year, with many new products released just a few months ago, including the iPhone 16 & 16 Pro, AirPods 4, Apple Watch Series 10, Apple Watch Ultra 2, and AirPods Max’s new colorway, where many of Apple’s user worldwide were able to obtain these new products.
Even with all the new upgrades, Apple is now under the rumor mill that the anticipated iPhone 17 could have some new features that the recently dropped iPhone 16 doesn’t.
It is rumored that the iPhone 17 could be the “thinnest-ever phone” (TechRadar). The phone could also be 6mm thick, which is similar to the size of a slice of bread. This would pass the iPhone 6 as Apple’s slimmest phone ever.
The phone is rumored to be “iPhone 17 Air or iPhone 17 Slim” (TechRadar). Apple is expected to use the “next-generation A19 Pro chip, which will reportedly be manufactured with TSMC’s newer third-generation 3nm process” (Times Now News), “All four iPhone 17 models are said to feature an upgraded 24-megapixel front-facing camera and an upgraded 48-megapixel Telephoto camera is rumored for the iPhone 17 Pro models” (Times Now News), which is said to be up from the 12-megapixel Telephoto camera on iPhone 16 Pro models. The Camera bump is said to be rectangular, which would go back to the previous iPhone cameras before the more recent round camera bump.
The Phone is rumored to have a size-up RAM upgrade from iPhone 16s 8GB to 12GB, a smaller dynamic island that is described as ” a “much narrowed Dynamic Island,” as a result of Apple adopting a “metalens” for the Face ID system” (MacRumors).
The iPhone 17 is seemingly going to be released in 2025, with Apple looking to enhance the power and performance of its phones even more with its products, especially with the releases of some of its other upcoming anticipated products like the iMac Pro, New iPads, Apple Watches, and even an updated version of the Vision Pro.
