Manager: Dave Roberts

Offseason Acquistions

LA made yet another splash in the offseason acquiring Blake Snell and Roki Sasaki to bolster their rotation. Offensively the Dodgers resigned Tommy Edman who was crucial to their success in the playoff last season as he hit .328 with 16 RBI’s in 16 postseason games last year. LA resigned Teoscar Hernandez on a four-year deal, Hernandez hit 33 HRs and drive in 99 in his frist year with Dodgers. The Dodgers also signed OF Micheal Conforto to round out their already ridiculous lineup.

In the bullpen side they added more depth by signing Kirby Yates, Luis Garcia from the Boston Red Sox and by signing the best available reliver to a record deal, Tanner Scott. The Dodgers already had an insane rotation and bullpen with the offseason moves they have made their team even stronger.

On top of that Manager Dave Roberts signed a record four year 32.4 million dollar extension to make him the highest paid manager in MLB history.

Mookie Betts (SS)

Freddy Freeman (1B)

Teoscar Hernandez (RF)

Max Muncy (3B)

This lineup is headed by the four headed monster of Ohtani, Betts, Freeman, and Hernandez. followed by Muncy who can hit the brakes off of anything and Will Smith’s value is certainly underrated, he hit .278 with 20 HR’s and 78 RBI’s last season. The addition of Micheal Conforto will also prove useful as he hit .237 with 20 HR’s and 66 RBI’s in 2024. Off the bench LA will have Kike Hernandez, Ausitn Barnes, Chris Taylor, James Outman, and Miguel Rojas.

TBD

With the injuries to Clayton Kershaw and Tyler Glasnow and their return dates up in the air it is questionable who the remaining to pitcher swill be to start the yesr or the dodgers. Ohtani will be un able to pitch in e first half of the season, but when he comes back, he is expected to be slotted into a six-man rotation when everyone one is healthy, the remaining three pitchers should be Ohtani, Glasnow, and Kershaw. In the bullpen, to begin the year LA will be missing Evan Phillps, in 54 innings of work he posted a 3.62 ERA and 63 K’s last season. The dodgers will also be without Tony Gonsolin and Gavin Stone. Kirby Yates, Micheal Kopech, Blake Treinen and tanner Scott will hold down the pen while the everyone gets healthy.

Season Outlook

The Dodgers are the World Series favorites yet again for obvious reasons, and they have a completely reloaded roster backed by the best pitching staff in the league, and the star bats the Dodgers should be primed to run it back and win the World Series again in 2025.
