Ever since she played her first game for the Hawks, Madison Olmstead has been unstoppable. In her rookie season, Olmstead set program records, for points, assists, and goals in a season. And today against Suffolk, she added to her resume.
Olmstead broke the single-game record against the Rams for goals and points in a game, as she finished the game with 12 goals and 13 points. She also became the fastest Hawk to score 100 career goals, and is now the Hawks all time point leader with 146 points. In addition to that, she broke the record for assists in a season with 25, and added onto her goal and point tally, as she now has 61 goals and 86 points, both of which are season records. What makes this stat even more startling, is Olmstead missed the first three games of the season.
Thanks to Olmstead, the Hawks managed to defeat the Rams 21-16, confirming them as the 3rd seed for the CNE playoffs. Hartford will host the first round of the CNE playoffs against Western New England on Saturday at 12 pm.
