The Launch Trampoline Park, a new 10,000-square-foot entertainment and recreation facility, opened on Saturday, Nov. 9 to the general public, offering fun for the entire family.
The Launch franchise was created by co-owners Rob Arnold and former New England Patriots defensive back Ty Law, who opened the first Launch Park in Warwick, R.I.
“What we’ve got is about 130-140 trampolines all joined together,” Arnold said. “They go up the walls, they go into a foam pit, we’ve got basketball lanes, we have trampoline dodgeball courts. It’s a pretty creative and unique situation here.”
The trampoline park is complete with an Internet cafe and snack bar, video game arcade with tickets redeemable for prizes, and a second-floor viewing deck for parents and spectators to watch the fun taking place down below.
Arnold says the idea for the Launch Park originally came from a family vacation to Florida. When speaking with Ty Law, Law told him he was planning to get into the business world and buy into a fast food chain. But Arnold was able to convince him of the great opportunity available with a trampoline park business.
The Launch Park also offers great opportunities for college students for entertainment and recreation. “We have a college night that we’ll be starting up in a few weeks, so colleges from all over will be coming by. We’ve run dodgeball tournaments, where colleges come and compete against other colleges. We have had group events where fraternities and sororities will rent out the whole facility,” Arnold said.
He also added that the Launch Park is a great opportunity for students to seek employment, as he said college students were great workers and employees, especially in such an environment as a trampoline park.
You can purchase tickets for one-hour of jumping for $14, and $10 for each additional hour. Jumpers also have to sign a waiver before they enjoy the Launch Trampoline Park
