The Global Brigades is the worlds largest student-led health and sustainable development organization that reaches across to North American and European Universities.

During this trip, volunteers have set up a clinic where they care for patients that need to be treated immediately. Some patients have serious health conditions such as breast cancer that go untreated for years. The Global Brigades chapter at Uhart have raised $10,367 that go towards the money for medications and year-round programming. Global Brigades does not only travel to Honduras but to Panama, Ghana,and, Nicaragua as well.

“You don’t even have to be pre-med to join, you can help out with the trip and learn more about it and plan for your own trip in the future,” Mona Asadi, Global Brigades chapter president said.

Programs implemented are not only Medical Brigades but also Business Brigades in which you will empower small business communities, Environmental Brigades, where volunteers empower rural communities to reverse degradation and preserve their environment , and many more different Brigades where you can find your place and help empower a community.
