The renovations on the Gengras Student Union began last February, since then the commuter lounge has been completely renovated and the third floor will soon be finished as most of the conference rooms have been renovated.

The new suisman lounge will be extended and have a dining area for students to eat and socialize. Along with the lounge the patio is being renovated so that it may be more visually appealing. There will be glass walls which will give a transparent feel to the lounge and allow for natural lighting.

The snack bar on the first floor is being replaced by “Club House” an area for clubs who do not have official office space, another new addition is a proper praying area with a foot cleansing station for Muslim students.

The funding for the renovations are not affecting tuition or students fees, and are still set to be completed this October.
