Mask and Face Coverings Mandatory in CT

Deliann Tirado | Article Published April 27, 2020

Governor Ned Lamont's executive order requiring residents to wear cloth face masks went into action April 20th. The order requires any person in public who cannot maintain social distancing to cover their mouth and nose in an effort to lower infection rates in CT.

Riders in public transportation or ride-sharing services must always wear a mask. The primary benefit of wearing the face covering is to prevent others from getting sick if the wearer is infected.

It is recommended these cloth coverings are made with a tightly woven cloth. You should not touch it unless you are ready to take it off. The mask should also be wash between uses.
