Kendrick Lamar, who just released his sixth studio album, “GNX,” is set to headline the biggest halftime show of the year at Super Bowl LIX; the pregame will warm up the fans for the anticipated performance.
“Grammy-winning singer Jon Batiste, 38, Christian recording artist Lauren Daigle, 33, R&B vocalist Ledisi, 52, and jazz musician Trombone Shorty, 38, have been added to the lineup for Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans on Feb. 9” (NY Post).

Shorty and Daigle will join together to perform a rendition of “America the Beautiful.” At the same time, Ledisi is “slated to give the audience her powerful vocals on “Life Every Voice and Sing” (NY Post).


Roc Nation and the NFL announced earlier today that Jon Batiste “will perform the national anthem” (NY Post).
The artists are set to take the stage at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9.
NFL’s head of music said in a statement, “The Super Bowl is a rare moment to unite fans around the world, and this year’s performers will bring the energy, soul and vibrant sounds of the region to a global stage, as we kickoff Super Bowl LIX with a celebration to remember” (Pagesix).
Last year, Usher performed at the halftime show, bringing out many big stars, including H.E.R., Ludacris, and Alicia Keys. So many people are anticipating who the Not Like US rapper will bring out at this year’s show.
