UCL Race
Speaking of Chelsea, they are in the midst of a wild UCL race. The top five teams make qualify for Champions League next season, Liverpool and Arsenal the only two locks so far as five points separate third place and seventh place. Newcastle sit third at 62 points followed by Man City with 61. Chelsea and Forest are knotted at 60 at fifth and sixth. Aston Villa sits in seventh at 57. Newcastle ends the year with Brighton, Chelsea at home, Arsenal at the Emirates and Everton. Man City will take on Wolves, Southampton, Bournemouth and Fulham. Chelsea might have the toughest road as the Blues will host Liverpool before going to Newcastle. They then host Man United before rounding out the season at Nottingham Forest. Forest will have a much easier path with Crystal Palace, Leicester, West Ham, and Chelsea. Villa will play Fulham, Bournemouth, Tottenham and Man United.
Personally, I think that the five EPL teams in the Champions League next year will be Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City, Forest, and Chelsea. Newcastle and Aston Villa will be in the Europa League. Each team will four games left after today. What is going to happen?
