UNH came to town looking for another victory to put them two games above .500 but the ladies beat them 64-46. It was a slow start with the score being 5-7 wildcats after the first 10 minutes of play. Uha stepped up big time though in towards the end of the half and continued to hold onto it through the second.
While it was certainly nice to see another Hartford victory this particular match was even sweeter for a number of reasons. This was a career game for three superstars out on the court. The first being Alex hall who put up a high 22 points which is her personal best. Her previous best was 21 against Binghamton on January 17th of last year. Freshman Amber Bepko had 8 steals which ties a Hartford record most in one game. This record is also held by Lana Thomas (1990-93) and Candace Ward (1991-96). Both Lana and Candice did it twice in their careers and interestingly enough so would Amber Bepko as she did it agaian in the very next game. Last but not least Jen Rizzotti recorded her 250th win and the lady hawks won their 3rd in a row.
