Recently, over 1,400 people got killed and hundreds were injured from the powerful 7.5 magnitude earthquake and tsunami that hit Indonesia.
Palu, a city in Indonesia, got hit the hardest from the earthquake destroying hundreds of landmarks. Those living in tents and shelters in the Indonesian city have put their life on hold as they are unsure when they will be able to rebuild. There are hours spent each day often futilely trying to secure necessities such as fuel for generators.
Several days after the earthquake and tsunami and earthquake hit, there was a lack of food, water, supplies, fuel, and medicine. Hundreds of people were lined up for fuel at gas stations and groups of children were standing with boxes asking for cash and chanting ‘We Need Food. We Need Support.”
