Campus goers have been complaining about the recent string of unprecidented TV outages. Instead of and episode of “Family Guy” or “Sports Center” TV watchers were treated to a screen showing an error in reception quality.
According to Sebastian Sorentino, Director for Media Services, the TV outages were blamed on a series of cables which either had improper insulation or were eroded due to weather conditions.
The outages should be repaired by now, however, students are asked to alert telecom services if the television service does go out again.
On a separate note, the Student Government Association picks the packages that are used on campus based on cost and student preference. As a result, students are not able to receive channels such as MSNBC or the Food Network.
