The University’s Fall Commencement will be held on Sunday, Dec. 7 beginning at 2:30 p.m. at Lincoln Theater on the University of Hartford campus.
About 180 students (95 undergraduate and 85 graduate) are expected to receive their degrees.
President Walter Harrison will preside over the ceremony where students and their guests will also hear remarks from Richard Fichman, a LASIK eye surgery pioneer and a leader in revitalizing the Upper Albany Avenue section of Hartford. Fichman will be presented with a Doctor of Humane Letters degree at the ceremony.
Attorney Thomas J. Groark Jr., who served as chair of the University’s Board of Regents for five years will be presented with a Doctor of Laws Degree at the ceremony as well.
